Draft deadline approaching

This module have been overwhelming to say the least! I now realise how fortunate I was to start this course in the pandemic and have so much free time to focus on my work. This time round I am abroad in America, working a full time job, I have very limited wifi, I am also Injured and have had so many different distractions! I am proud that I have managed to find the time to do the work, I am just questioning if I've understood the task at hand and if it's to a good standard, but I guess that's what drafts are for!

I have found analysing my data very hard! I understand what the data means to me, however getting it down on paper is much harder than I imagined! initially I was scared about interviewing people but that seems to have been the easy part! 

I think at the end of the day we all need to remind ourselves that this Inquiry wasn't to solve anything or prove something right or wrong it is to develop our practice and have a greater understanding of our professional field!

    Oh no Emily - sorry to hear you're injured, I hope you're ok?
    I couldn't agree with you more re: interviewing people being the easy part! And as for getting the data down on paper - I didn't foresee it being so difficult. Sorting through all the data seemed like a never ending task and then triangulating it was a whole different challenge! You are very right that the inquiry was all about us though not finding right and wrongs. Congratulations getting all the work done with all the other challenges you have been facing. I'm sure you've done great!x

      Thanks Jen!! Getting better and on the mend! No dancer accepts being injured well hehe!

      Yes you are not alone!! It's crazy isn't it that we all were so nervous to collect the data but actually that part was the most straight forward!

      Hope you've got your draft back now and feel more at ease :)

    Sorry to hear you're injured! Hope you're getting the rest and treatment that you need!
    I completely agree, we are not trying to solve or prove anything but yet explore and develop a deeper understanding to help our practice!
    It sounds like you're incredibly busy juggling a new job abroad and studying for Module three but you have totally got this, I have every faith in you that you will find those moments of time to read, write and get your inquiry done :) x

    So sorry to hear about your injury! I know exactly how you feel about having a lot of distractions - I started a new job in September and my free time became non-existent. You are definitely not alone in feeling overwhelmed and juggling so many things ! I found with this module that initially I felt more relaxed because I had planned the inquiry and now I just had to do it but actually putting that into practice was a lot harder than I thought! I definitely feel more at ease now my draft is in and I can start thinking ahead to my artefact, I hope you are feeling the same as well!

      It's crazy isn't it! I said this to Helen and she assured me that how I felt was normal and that the pandemic almost gave us a false sense of time! The course is designed to be done along side full time employment! We are nearly at the end! Congratulations on the new job though!
